Known for unique instrument pairings and creative programming, Astralis has premiered numerous new chamber works and expanded the repertoire through commissions and arrangements. Their touring schedule includes everything from leading national concert series to community performances in underserved areas — reflecting a deep commitment to making music accessible to all.

Meet the Artists

Angela Massey – Flute

Angela Massey has been described as “beautiful and enchanting… magical!” by Jeanne Baxtresser, former principal flute of the NY Philharmonic.

She is the founder and Artistic Director of the Astralis Chamber Ensemble, performing over 60 recitals a year. Angela has appeared as a soloist with the Tryon Concert Association, the Kosciuszko Foundation (NYC), Artist Series in Tallahassee, and at international venues in England, France, Germany, Italy, and more.

She holds flute positions with the Southwest Florida Symphony and Venice Symphony, teaches at Florida Gulf Coast University, and has earned top prizes in several prestigious competitions. Angela studied at Carnegie Mellon, Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and UNC Chapel Hill.

Yeim Lee – Violin

A passionate concert violinist and chamber musician, Yeim Lee is a winner of the Oberlin Conservatory Concerto Competition and recipient of the Susan W. Rose Graduate Fellowship at Juilliard.

She has served as concertmaster for both the Juilliard and Oberlin orchestras, and performs with the Sejong Soloists. Her group, the Resi Quartet, recently earned Silver at the 2025 Coltman Chamber Music Competition.

Yeim has appeared at premier music festivals including Music@Menlo, Kneisel Hall, Taos, and the Perlman Music Program. She earned degrees from Oberlin Conservatory, Juilliard, and an Artist Diploma from Rice University.

Dr. Alexandra Snyder Dunbar – Harpsichord & Piano

Dr. Alexandra Snyder Dunbar is an award-winning harpsichordist, pianist, and educator. She holds a Doctorate and Master's from Juilliard, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano from Manhattan School of Music.

Her solo credits include performances with Symphony of Westchester, Dorian Baroque Orchestra, and Orchestra 54. She has appeared with ensembles like the New York Philharmonic, Dryden Ensemble, and Atlanta Baroque Orchestra.

Currently, she teaches at the University of North Georgia, works with Interlochen Arts Camp, serves as organist at Emmanuel Episcopal Church (Athens, GA), and is co-artistic director of the Amethyst Baroque Ensemble.
